Day of the dead Altar - Boston, MA
Steel and Lucite 2007. An alter created for the Day of the Dead celebration. Deconstructs to store flat for the duration of the year.Water Table #1 - Washington, D.C.
Steel and Lucite 2007. This table's structure is based on that of the water molecule, with two smaller hydrogen atoms attached to a larger oxygen. By repeating this pattern again and again, it was possible to create a stable table with very few straight lines.
Water table #2 - Brussels, Belgium
Steel and Lucite 2007. This table's structure is based on that of the water molecule, with two smaller hydrogen atoms attached to a larger oxygen. As opposed to the first water table, I attempted a simpler lighter design, to let the table breathe a little more.
Cambridge Clubhouse - Cambridge, MA
Wood, steel, and PVC 2008. A clubhouse built for a family of three children. It is custom designed with a counter-weighted trap door and lift, over-sized windows for passing through, and hand and foot holds up the sides for scaling the structure. The top can be covered with a tent, and the side bench is hidden storage.
Two Tier Table - New York city, NY
Steel and Lucite 2006. With two overlapping surfaces, this table was designed for more usable area with a smaller footprint. With the addition of Lucite tops, the whole piece becomes much more light and whimsical.Garden Guardian Gate - Boston, MA
Steel 2008. An aesthetically pleasing gate that also keeps out unwanted animals, and discourages intruders with sharpened steel protrusions on top.
